WRS Health Announces Partnership with Physician’s Desk Reference

Leading national EMR provider partners with trusted medical resource to provide
comprehensive medication information to clients

GOSHEN, N.Y. (10/14/2013) – WRS Health, a leading web-based provider of fully integrated electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management solutions for medical specialties, has announced its partnership with PDR Network®, the company behind the Physicians’ Desk Reference® – the trusted source for FDA approved prescribing information. With this partnership, the PDR® BRIEF and PDR®+ for Patients solutions were fully integrated into WRS Health’s system on Oct. 11, 2013, bringing clients of WRS Health valuable clinical and patient medication information. PDR BRIEF gives providers access to FDA-approved prescribing and drug safety information, as well as pertinent provider and patient resources, in one convenient hub without leaving their EHR workflow. PDR+ for Patients offers drug education guides designed to help patients better understand their medication. Providers have the choice between handing patients a printed copy of the PDR+ guides or sending the information electronically through the patient’s portal.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with PDR Network, a highly respected resource in medicine,” said Jeffrey Hirsch, Chief Operating Officer of WRS Health. “We are excited to offer these additional services to our clients, so they may find all of the information they need to prescribe a medication and educate their patients without leaving their EMR workflow. At WRS Health, it is our mission to improve the efficiency of physicians and save them valuable time.”

PDR Network will provide WRS Health’s clients with key drug and safety information, seamlessly integrated into WRS Health’s EMR workflow. Clients will have access to the most current medication information, including label updates and boxed warnings, medication-specific patient drug education guides to help patients remain compliant to the therapies prescribed, and a searchable drug label and safety database that includes full FDA-approved prescribing information and prescribing summaries. These tools are meant to increase physician’s productivity and efficiency, improve patient care, and help practices achieve requirements for Meaningful Use.
