Award recognizes EHR system’s efficient and safe electronic prescribing process
GOSHEN, N.Y. (03/24/2015) – WRS Health is pleased to announce it has earned the Surescripts 2014 White Coat of Quality Award for the fourth year in a row. The White Coat of Quality Award recognizes WRS Health’s dedication and commitment to providing an efficient and safe electronic prescribing process and is a featured part of Surescripts quality program, which has the goal of achieving 100% reliability in e-prescribing.
“We are honored to receive Surescripts White Coat of Quality Award once again this year and to be recognized for WRS Health’s ongoing commitment to clinical quality and efficiency in healthcare,” said Lawrence Gordon, MD, founder and CEO of WRS Health. “The White Coat of Quality reaffirms both the excellence of our web-based EHR and practice management system and distinguishes the WRS support team for their dedication to providing the best possible training to the practices we serve.”
WRS Health, a leading web-based provider of fully integrated electronic medical record and practice management solutions for medical practices, was applauded by Surescripts for its efforts to measure quality, identify issues, and implement changes and training to improve the efficiency and safety of its technology and the e-prescribing process overall. Among other updates in 2014, WRS Health worked to ensure complete prescription medications for a continued smooth workflow for electronic submission. They have added to their messaging and alert capabilities to enhance the efficiency of its e-prescribing services and to reduce e-prescribing clinical content levels, and train end-users on how to better utilize their e-prescribing system to reduce clinical content errors.
“We are honored to recognize these organizations for their leadership and persistence in advancing e-prescribing quality industry-wide,” said Ajit Dhavle, Pharm.D, MBA, Vice President of Clinical Quality at Surescripts. “We can realize greater value by working collaboratively and leveraging technology to improve e-prescribing and connect the entire healthcare ecosystem.”
With Meaningful Use stage 2 requiring over 50 percent of prescriptions to be sent electronically, more prescriptions are being sent electronically than ever before, bridging gaps in patient care. In the past, as many as one-third of prescriptions written never made it to the pharmacy, according to SureScripts.
WRS Health has been helping medical practices simplify their clinical and workflow processes and achieve business goals for over 10 years. The organization’s web-based solutions ensure each client’s success through personalized training and support, acting as an invaluable organization and human resources tool to improve the efficiency and profit of small and large medical practices in over 32 specialties.
