Award recognizes EHR system’s efficient and safe electronic prescribing process
GOSHEN, N.Y. (04/04/2016) – WRS Health is pleased to announce it has earned the Surescripts 2015 White Coat of Quality Award for the fifth year in a row. The White Coat of Quality Award recognizes WRS Health’s dedication and commitment to providing an efficient and safe electronic prescribing process and is a featured part of Surescripts quality program, which has the goal of achieving 100% reliability in e-prescribing.
“We are honored to receive Surescripts White Coat of Quality Award once again this year and to be recognized for WRS Health’s ongoing commitment to clinical quality and efficiency in healthcare,” said Lawrence Gordon, MD, founder and CEO of WRS Health. “The White Coat of Quality reaffirms both the excellence of our web-based EHR and practice management system and distinguishes the WRS support team for their dedication to providing the best possible training to the practices we serve.”
WRS Health, a leading web-based provider of fully integrated electronic medical record and practice management solutions for medical practices, was applauded by Surescripts for its efforts to measure quality, identify issues, and implement changes and training to improve the efficiency and safety of its technology and the e-prescribing process overall.
The Surescripts White Coat of Quality distinction is earned and awarded annually. WRS Health was also recognized with the White Coat of Quality award consecutively for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
“Surescripts is thrilled to acknowledge the organizations who are striving daily to achieve the goal of zero content errors in e-prescribing,” said Ajit Dhavle, Pharm.D, MBA, Vice President, Clinical Quality, Surescripts. “As new digital capabilities constantly emerge, all of us are responsible for improving e-prescribing quality to increase accuracy, reduce costs and save time for doctors, pharmacists and patients.”
With Meaningful Use Stage 2 requiring over 50 percent of prescriptions to be sent electronically, more prescriptions are being sent electronically than ever before, bridging gaps in patient care. In the past, as many as one-third of prescriptions written never made it to the pharmacy, according to SureScripts.
WRS Health has been helping medical practices simplify their clinical and workflow processes and achieve business goals for over 10 years. The organization’s web-based solutions ensure each client’s success through personalized training and support, acting as an invaluable organization and human resources tool to improve the efficiency and profit of small and large medical practices in over 32 specialties.
